Betty Jean Cobb

Betty Jean Cobb, 79, died December 18, 2012 at Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
She was born February 29, 1933 at Stigler, Oklahoma the daughter of Arthur and Jewel (Pennington) Hendrick.
She had been a longtime Liberal area resident. She graduated from Turpin High School in Turpin, OK and attended Northwest Texas Hospital School of Nursing graduating in 1955 with a degree in Nursing.
She was employed for over 30 years at Southwest Medical Center as a registered nurse.
She was a longtime member of the Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Liberal, Kansas before coming a member of the Resurrection Lutheran Church of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
On December 24, 1954 she married Lawrence Cobb at Wichita, KS. He died October 10, 1974.
Survivors include.
1 son Mark Cobb Simi Valley, California
2 daughters Cynthia Godfrey Oak Grove, Missouri
Joy Mitchell Colorado Springs, Colorado
4 grandchildren Jessica Hay, Jeremy Olsen, Vanessa Mitchell and Lindsey Mitchell.
3 great grandchildren Jasmine Washington, Gemma Hay and Baylie Coker.
Preceded in death by parents and sister Arta Mae Fowler.
Memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, December 22, 2012 at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church with Pastor Andrew Wehling presiding.
Cremation has taken place and a private inurnment will be held at a later date in Restlawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers and plants, memorials may be sent to the Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church or charity of donor’s choice in care of Brenneman Funeral Home 1212 W. 2nd Liberal, KS 67901.
