Bertha Alicia Estrada Gonzalez, age 66, passed away Tuesday, April 20, 2021, at her Meade, Kansas, residence.
She was born November 7, 1954, at Basuchil, Mexico, the daughter of Rafael and Maria (Gonzalez) Estrada. As a young girl, she attended school in Mexico. A resident of Meade since 2002, she was a custodian for the Meade USD 226 schools.
She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Meade. She enjoyed attending church, cooking, sewing, and spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her children, Delina Castillo of Amarillo, Texas, Jesus Jose Castillo of Spearman, Texas, and Manuel Castillo of Meade; three brothers, Manuel, Pedro, and Reyes Estrada; four sisters, Yolanda Estrada Gonzalez, Rosa Elia Estrada Gonzalez, Maria Eva Estrada Gonzalez, and Aurora Estrada Gonzalez; four grandchildren, Delina Guadalupe, Mateo Sebastian Torres, Sophia Joy Castillo, and Manuel Ray Castillo.
She is preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Cayentano Estrada Gonzlaez; and a sister Araceli Estrada Gonzalez.
Vigil services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday, April 30, 2021, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Plains. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 Saturday, May 1, 2021, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Friday at Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary, Meade. Interment will follow in the Graceland Cemetery, Meade.
