Bennie Lee Bing, 97, of Liberal, KS passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2020 at the Liberal Good Samaritan Center.
She was born on September 2, 1922 to Benjamin and Myrtle (Tipton) Foster at Stephenville, TX.
On May 31, 1945 she married Loyd Bing in Salt lake City, UT; he preceded her in death.
She was a graduate of Paducah High School in Paducah, TX; class of 1941. While growing up she had worked on the family farm. She had also worked at drug stores in Paducah, TX and Great Bend, KS. She then went to work in the Telephone Offices in El Dorado, KS and Great Bend, KS. While living in Kansas she had lived in Augusta, El Dorado, Great Bend, and Hugoton before settling in Liberal in 1958. Bennie was also a 21 year Representative for Avon. She enjoyed walking, dining out, playing cards with friends, camping and traveling to Texas & Denver, CO to see her kids. She also enjoyed the neighborhood cookouts with homemade ice cream for dessert. Bennie was a member of the Southwest Medical Center Auxiliary, the Liberal Pancake Camper’s Club and the Western Avenue Church of Christ.
Bennie is survived by her Son, Kenneth Bing and partner Michael Culpepper of Denver, CO; Grandson, Shaun Crosley; Niece, Sherry Jones and husband Larry of Galena, KS; long-time close family friend, Wilma Moore of Liberal, KS.
She was also preceded in death by parents and Daughter, Vickie Crosley.
Visitation will be 1:00 PM to 7:00 pm Wednesday July 15th at Miller Mortuary with the family present to greet friends from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
Graveside services will be 10:00 am Thursday July 16th at the Restlawn Memorial Garden Cemetery with David Rine, officiating.
