Barbara Ann Law “Bobbie” Wellman

Barbara Ann Law “Bobbie” Wellman, 89, of Liberal, passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal, Kansas.

Barbara, daughter of George Henry Law and Oma Myers Law, was born August 24, 1933, in Epworth Hospital in Liberal, Kansas.

She married Myron Eugene “Red” Wellman June 6, 1953 and they are the parents of two children, a son William Eugene “Bill” and a daughter Kelley Susan.

She was retired from the Guymon, Oklahoma school system and after the death of her husband she moved back to Liberal. Her church was very important to her and she was an active member of the First Christian Church (DOC). She was a member of the Christian Women’s Fellowship, F.A. Chapter of P.E.O., Liberal Woman’s Club, Red Hat, Hobby Club, Aurora Club, SWMC Auxiliary, and member at- large chapter of Beta Sigma Phi.

She is survived by her daughter Kelley King, granddaughters; Jeni Stanton and Kari Stanton, great grand children; Ethan Ashton, Trinity and Jayda, her special nephews Robin Hood, Jr and his sons Tucker, Konner and Keifer; her special friend and caregiver Beverly Stepusin.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and infant brother and sister, her son William Eugene (Bill) Wellman, her sisters, Avis Sherrill and Avanell Sherrill Mitchell, her son-in-law Mike King, her great granddaughter Briana Stanton, and her great great granddaughter Zariah Garcia.

Viewing will be 2:00 pm to 7:00 on Thursday, January 12, 2022 at Miller Mortuary of Liberal.

Funeral Services will be10:00 am Friday, January 13, 2022 at the First Christian Church (DOC) of Liberal.

Burial will follow at the Liberal City Cemetery
