Arthur William “Bill” Catlin

Arthur William “Bill” Catlin, 76, died Saturday, June 20, 2015 at Satanta District Hospital in Satanta, KS. He was born August 13, 1938 in Liberal, KS the son of Harold and Margaret (Bell) Catlin. He graduated from Liberal High School in 1956 and attended University of Kansas and Ft. Hays State University. During his high school and college years he worked at Tuckers Men’s Clothing Store, in Liberal. Following college, Mr. Catlin served with the US Army, stationed in Germany. Following his military service, he moved to Chicago, IL, where he was employed by Sears and Roebuck, as an assistant buyer in ladies and girls fashions. He then moved to Atlanta, Georgia, and continued his fashion-related work in fashions sales with Guilford Mills, J. Riggings and U.S. Shoes. He returned to Liberal, KS in 1989, and worked in real estate at Action Realty until his retirement.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church, in Liberal.
Survivors include:
1 Sister Pamela Ann Catlin Liberal, KS.
2 Nephews Douglas Matthew Bonicelli Pueblo CO; Jordan Andrew Bonicelli Denver, CO; and Grant Alexander Bonicelli Aurora, CO.
1 Brother-in-law Harold E. Bonicelli Pueblo, CO.
He was he was preceded in death by his parent, and one sister, Sharon Catlin Bonicelli.
Graveside service will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday at Liberal Cemetery.
Visitation Time will be from 1- 8pm Tuesday, at Brenneman Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers and plants, memorial contributions may be sent to the First United Methodist Church in care of Brenneman Funeral Home 1212 W. 2nd Liberal, KS 67901.
