Ardelia Louise “Cookie” Dinkens Coleman

Ardelia Louise “Cookie” Dinkens Coleman, 52, died Sunday, October 18, 2015 at her residence in Liberal, KS.

She was born September 1, 1963, the daughter of Lucies and Geneva (Aldridge) Dinkens. She was a longtime resident of Liberal.
Ardelia attended the Colvin Adult Learning Center, in Liberal, KS and earned her G.E.D. She later attended Seward County Community College’s Nursing Program.
She was employed at Wheatridge Park Care Center as a transporter and Good Samaritan Society-Liberal, as a CNA/CMA. She had worked at SKADAF as an Addiction Counselor.
She was a member of Bibleway Church of God in Christ where she was a Children’s Sunday school teacher and a church usher. She had a deep passion for children and senior adults. She was the District President for the Sunshine Band and the Purity Class. Computer data entry was a gift and talent she willing helped the church with and was known to assign a nickname to each member. She will be greatly missed by her family and her church community.

On September 2, 1995, she married Floyd Coleman at Liberal, KS. He survives.

5 Grandchildren Raquel Wilkerson, Robin Deckard, LaRon Winn, DeMia Lee and DeMarcus Lee.

Preceded in death by her Father Lucies Dinkens and 1 Brother Lewis Dinkens.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday at Bibleway Church of God In Christ, Liberal, KS with Pastor Lawrence Johnson presiding. Burial will be in Liberal Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1 – 8 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. – 8 pm Friday at Brenneman Funeral Home.
