Anita Apsley-McVey, 65, died Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at her residence in Liberal.

She was born in Liberal, the daughter of Elmer LeRoy and Violet Irene (Pennington) Apsley.

Anita attended Liberal High School, where she graduated in 1971. She received a

Bachelorâ s Degree in Motion Picture Photography from Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara California in 1985. She later completed an

Associates in Graphic Arts degree from Allan Hancock College in Santa Barbara.

On October 10, 1980, she married Raymond McVey at the Pershing Ave. Christian Church in Liberal. He Survives.

Anita was dedicated member of the Faith Tabernacle Church, and a was a member of

the Brooks Institute of Photography Alumni Association. Her passion was

photography, and she loved taking pictures.

Six Cousins, their spouses and families

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Linda Sue Apsley.

Cremation has taken place, and a memorial service will take place at 10:00 am Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at the Faith Tabernacle Church in Liberal, with Pastor Rex Petty presiding. Inurnment to follow at Liberal Cemetery.

Memorial Contributions may be sent to a charity of your choice in Anita’s name, in care of Brenneman Funeral Home, 1212 W. 2nd St., Liberal, KS 67901.
