Anita J. Parnell

Anita J. Parnell, 87, of Liberal, passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2020.

She was born on December 21, 1932 to Harlan and Eula (Campbell) Munger at Liberal, KS.

Anita grew up in Guymon, OK and was a graduate of Guymon High School; class of 1950. Anita worked as an Administrative Assistant for Parnell & Son “The Door Store” for 18 years. She enjoyed playing the piano, playing cards, bowling, working, and visiting with friends. Anita also had a love for all dogs. She was a member of the Central Christian Church.

Anita is survived by her son, Scott Parnell and wife Rolisa of Liberal, KS; daughter, Karen Wilson and husband Mark of Liberal, KS; brother, Darrel Munger of Borger, TX; Grandchildren, Dustin Wilson and wife Alexandra of Shawnee Mission, KS, Chad Wilson and wife Jasa of Loveland, CO, Jesse Wilson of Liberal, KS, Amy Box and husband Nicholas of Colorado Springs, CO, Adam Parnell of Dodge City, KS, and Austin Parnell and Fiance Katie of Lafayette, CO.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Viewing will be held Monday, September 21, 2020, 1:00 pm – 7:00 pm with the family present to greet friends from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm at Miller Mortuary, Liberal, Kansas.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2020, 10:00 am at the Central Christian Church, with Pastor Chuck Scroggs, officiating.

Burial will follow at the Union Center Cemetery near Adams, OK
