Angie Abbott

Angie Abbott, 82, Liberal, KS, died Wednesday, May 18, 2011,

peacefully at her home.

She was born July 8, 1928 at Logan, OK, the daughter of

James P. & Augusta P. Getz Sanger.

She graduated Beaver High School. Moving to Liberal, she

worked at Black’s Drug, worked in home care for many years and

later retired from the accounting department of Nash Finch after

twenty years.

She was a member of the South Church of God, Southwest Medical

Center Auxiliary, V.F.W. Auxiliary, and was active in the Liberal Air Museum and Liberal Tourist Center.

She married Orval C. Abbott on September 24, 1949; he proceeded in

death on September 18, 2008.

She is survived by one son Rod Abbott, Topeka, KS; one daughter,

Debbie Hall and husband Jack, La Junta, CO; one sister, Betty Jo Moon

and husband Bob, Tyrone, OK; two granddaughters, Renee Hall, Cheraw,

CO; Kelly Hamilton and husband Davy, Canyon, TX; four great-grandchildren,

Karlee & Jacee Kravig and Katie & Josh Hamilton. She was preceded in

death by her parents, four brothers, Henry, Glen, and Everett & Louis Sanger.

Funeral services will be conducted 10:30 A.M. Saturday at the

South Church of God, with Rev. Rusty Callahan presiding.

Interment will be in the Liberal Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Miller Mortuary 1-8 P.M. Friday.
