Alfredo Varela

Alfredo Varela, age 48, died May 3, 2012 at Dodge City , KS .

He was born June 1, 1963 at Villa Union, Poanas , Durango , Mexico , the son of Anselmo and Isaura (Manzanales) Varela.

He was employed at National Beef Packing Co. since Oct. 2001 as a forklift driver. He had also worked at Seaboard Foods.

He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Liberal, KS.

On Feb. 26, 1997, he married Alma Angelica Gastelum in Liberal. KS. She survives.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Rosary and Vigil will be 8 pm Wednesday, May 9 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Liberal, KS.

Funeral Mass will be 9 am Thursday, May 10 at St. Anthony Catholic Church with Fr. J. Hector de la Vega presiding. Burial will be in Liberal Cemetery .

Visitation will begin 9 am Wednesday at the church.
