Alberta Carr

Alberta Carr, 81, died Saturday, November 21, 2015 at Liberal Good Samaritan Center.

She was born November 29, 1933 at Cave City, KY, the daughter of Harry and Ethel (Martin) Watterson.

Alberta was a graduate of the Barren County-Cave City High School. She received Christ at Owen’s Chapel Baptist Church in Kentucky and was also a member of Bibleway Church of God in Christ in Liberal, KS. She moved to Liberal, KS in 1965 where she was a housekeeper for 51 years before retiring in 2011. Alberta enjoyed classic television shows including one of her favorite televangelism programs- The Potters House.

She is survived by her Sister, Jessie Swingley of Louisville, KY and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers- Joe, Harry, Daniel and Lawrence Watterson; one sister-Pauline Terry.

Visitation will be 12:00 Noon – 8:00 PM Monday November 23, 2015 at Miller Mortuary.

Graveside Service will be at 11:00 am Tuesday November 24, 2015 at Liberal City Cemetery with Superintendent Lawrence Johnson officiating.
