Adrian Sandoval

Adrian Sandoval, age 60, of Ulysses, Kansas, died Tuesday, June 5, 2018, at University of Colorado Hospital Authority in Aurora, Colorado. He was born August 8, 1957, in Valle de Olivos, Chihuahua, Mexico, the son of Esteban and Guadalupe (Vasquez) Sandoval.
Adrian grew up in Mexico. As a child, his family raised goats. He has been living in Ulysses since the age of 17 years. Adrian married Maria (Lolis) Acosta in April of 1976, in Ulysses. He worked as a roustabout for Sweazy Construction and Treco Inc. Adrian enjoyed attending his granddaughter’s activities, fishing, hunting, watching boxing, listening to music, dancing, and reading. As a handyman, he could fix most things. Adrian served at Mary, Queen of Peace Catholic Church. He liked to travel to Mexico, which his family did frequently. You knew when he was around as he was always singing or whistling.
Adrian is survived by his wife, Lolis of their home; daughters, Cinthia Sandoval Lopez of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Diana Linda Sandoval of Ulysses, Kansas, Judith Sandoval of Garden City, Kansas; son, Jesus Adrian Sandoval of Lakewood, Colorado; mother, Guadalupe Sandoval of Chihuahua, Mexico; brothers, Esteban Sandoval of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Nemecio Sandoval of Mexico, Alfredo Sandoval of Denver, Colorado, Ricardo Sandoval of Denver, Colorado; sisters, Isidra Sandoval of Mexico, Emilia Sandoval of Los Angeles, California, Lucy Gaudiana of Los Angeles, California, Miriam Sandoval of Chihuahua, Mexico, and Soledad Sandoval of Los Angeles, California; and three granddaughters, Adriana DeLao, Jocelyn Acosta, and Jiselle Acosta.
Adrian is preceded in death by his father, Esteban.
Vigil and Rosary will be Monday, June 18, 2018, 7:00pm and Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, June 19, 2018, at 7:00 PM both at Mary, Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Ulysses, Kansas, with Reverend Peter Fernandez officiating. Interment will be at San Pedro Cemetery in San Pedro, Chihuahua, Mexico. Friends may call Monday, June 18, 2018 from noon until 5:00 PM at Garnand Funeral Home, 405 W. Grant Ave, Ulysses, KS 67880.
