Richard D. Weber, age 64, passed away early Monday morning, March 7, 2022, at the Meade District Hospital, Meade, Kansas.

He was born September 16, 1957, at Fowler, Kansas, the son of Charles Oliver and Marie Elizabeth (Gerber). As a young boy, he attended school in Fowler, graduating from Fowler High School in 1975. After his graduation, he began his career as a farmer, rancher, and a round bale hauler, including managing the Greene Ranch from 1979-1990.

He was a member of ABATE, former member of FFA, volunteering during Thresing Days, and was the homecoming king for Fowler High School in 1975. He enjoyed farming, welding, building and creating many different items, including a cab-over round bale hauler, and spending time with his family and friends.

On August 31, 1990, he married Sherry L. Young at Fowler, Kansas. She survives.

Other survivors include five brothers, Dave Weber and Dale Weber, both of Fowler, Dennis Weber of Kansas City, Missouri, Ivan Weber of Concordia, Kansas, and Mark Weber of Albuquerque, New Mexico; three sisters, Irene Howell of Goddard, Kansas, and Thelma (Rose) McKissick and Arlene Carlile, both of Wichita, Kansas; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Marvin Weber.

There will be no public viewing, as cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held at a later date.

The family would welcome memorials to the Fowler Community Fund in care of Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary, Meade.
