Linda A. Kernell, age 74, passed away early Monday morning, November 15, 2021, at the Minneola District Hospital, Minneola, Kansas.
She was born November 25, 1946, at Richmond, Virginia, the daughter of Harold and Dorothy (Weatherford) Gregory. As a young girl, she attended school in Richmond. In 1980, she moved to Fowler, Kansas, and began her career in health care. She attended school at Dodge City Community College, receiving her licensed practical nurse degree, working for the Minneola Clinic for many years.
She enjoyed music, playing her bass guitar, reading novels, her pets, and spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her fiancé, Jeff Bowen of Meade; a daughter, Denise Aumiller and husband Devere of Hutchinson, Kansas; a brother, Ronald Gregory of McKinney, Virginia; a sister, Cindy Gregory of Richmond, Virginia; three grandchildren, Cody Keeton, Cassidy Wetzel, and Dakota Daubert; and a great-grandson, Braxton Shelite.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, David Gregory.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 18, 2021, at Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary, Meade. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Thursday. Interment will follow in the Graceland Cemetery, Meade.
