No Hitter Included in Seward Sweep

Winipeg, Manitoba right hander Jill Dickson tossed a no hitter in game one of Seward’s sweep of Colby Thursday afternoon at Lady Saints Field. Playing in 85 degree weather the Saints enjoyed a day in the sun winning 8-0 and 12-4.
Dickson fired the "no-no" in game one in a game which lasted a hair over an hour. Bianca Adame, Bri Diaz, Stephanie Mark, and Rachel Shockley had two hits a piece. Seward’s big inning was a six run second inning.
Game two was a sloppy game. Colby committed eight errors while the victorious Saints had six defensive miscues. Seward scored one in the first, four in the second, five in the third, and two in the fourth. Bri Diaz went 3-4. Ashley Kirkes was 2-4 with two RBI’s while Adame and Christina Wright had two hits a piece. Blaire Taylor was the winning pitcher in game two.
Seward leads the Jayhawk West at 6-2 and stands 28-13 overall while Colby falls to 7-20 overall and 0-8 in conference.
Seward hosts Trinidad State Friday at 2 p.m. at Lady Saints Field.
