Ok, so maybe the name has changed for the NJCAA Academic All-American awards but the accomplishment is just as hard to achieve. For the first time in 2011, the NJCAA has changed what was formerly known as the Academic All-American Award to the Superior, Exemplary, and the Pinnacle Awards for Academic Excellence. With that said, nine Seward County student-athletes have earned the esteemed awards by finishing their time at SCCC/ATS with higher than a 3.0 cumulative GPA.

Earning the first Pinnacle Award for Academic Excellence in Seward County history is Lady Saints Volleyball player Sheina Fernandes who joins select company throughout the NJCAA ranks to get the award.

Kyle Henke and Jace Moore paced their Saints baseball teammates in the classroom and each received Superior Academic Achievement Awards while Lady Saints Tennis player Kauana Goncalves also picks up the honor after the three finished with between a 3.80 and 3.99 career GPA.

Receiving the school's first batch of Exemplary Academic Achievement Awards are Seward Softball teammates Kelsea Blackstock and Leah Sitter, as well as Lady Saints Basketball player Hannah Rotolo, Lady Saints Volleyball player Maddy Taylor, and Lady Saints Tennis star Fanny Benincasa as those young ladies graduate with GPA's between 3.60 and 3.79.
