National Fallen Firefighters Memorial honors Perryton Assistant Fire Chief

Emmitsburg, MARYLAND — The National Fallen Firefighters Memorial is honoring Perryton Assistant Fire Chief Scott Glass.

Flags were lowered to half staff and a wreath in his honor was laid at the site.

Glass died Sunday, three days after he was critically injured while fighting a fire.

According to the City of Perryton, a fire hose was being “charged with water” when it whipped, hitting Glass, and two volunteer firefighters,

Glass sustained serious head injuries.
