National Day of Prayer Thursday May 3rd.

A National Day of Prayer event will take place Thursday May the 3rd at the Rock Island Depot. This non-denominational prayer service is being organized by the Liberal Ministerial Alliance and will begin at 12:05pm. Community leaders and pastors are scheduled to pray for a wide variety of City, County, School, State and National issues. The event will begin with the posting of the colors by the American Legion followed by the National Anthem and the Pledge of Allegiance. Everyone is invited to spend their lunch hour or any portion of the noon hour praying with others from around the community.
