UPDATE: Motorcycle Accident in Hugoton Claims One Life

On Wednesday, September 11th, at approximately 8:18 pm, the Hugoton Police Department responded to a two-vehicle fatality collision involving a 1978 Yamaha motorcycle and a 2015 Lincoln Navigator SUV, that occurred at 11th and Madison Streets in Hugoton.

As a result of the collision, the driver of the motorcycle David Thomas, 19, of Hugoton was transported to the Stevens County Hospital where lifesaving measures were performed. The driver succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased. The driver of the SUV, Linda Hittle, 79, of Hugoton, sustained no injuries
