Mixed Results for Redskins at Rocky Welton

The Liberal High School wrestling team competed with mixed results at the Rocky Welton Wrestling Tournament at Garden City this weekend. The Skins beat ranked opponents and lost matches that head coach Matt Sleder says they shouldn’t have lost. At 132 Cody Smith 3-3 with a 5th place finish. At 145 Ayodale Briamah went 4-3 with a 6th place finish. At 152 Trenton Wilson went 4-3 with a 6th place finish. With only one match under his belt, Sergio Borjas at 285 won a couple of matches and almost placed earning Wrestler of the Week.
