Midland Manhandles Saints

One day after a double header sweep over Odessa, the Saints weren’t as fortune 25 miles to the east in Midland on Saturday.  The Midland Chaparrals, who receive votes in the NJCAA rankings shellacked the Saints 16-1 and 16-0 Saturday afternoon at Christensen Stadium in Midland.

In game one, the Chaps plated seven in the first, three in the second, and six in the third.  Midland out-hit SCCC 11-5. Seward had four errors.  The game only went five innings due to run rule.  Ryan Todd was 2-2 in the loss.

Game two didn’t go any better.  The Chaparrals scored seven in the first and eight in the third.  Midland out-hit Seward 15-2.  The Saints committed the game’s only error.

Midland is 13-0.  Seward is 5-5 and plays at Vernon Friday and Saturday at noon.
