Seymour girls basketball

*8A Team from Coach Blanc *-
Tonight the 8th grade Lady Apaches got their first win against Dodge city
Comanche 23 -17. The girls came out ready to play with a lot of pressure on
defense and attacking on offense. We did a great job moving the ball around
and was able to get some open shots. Karime Neave led in rebounds with 7
and Karel Mancia led in scoring with 8 points. We hope to keep this
momentum after the Thanksgiving break.

*8B Team from Coach Arnberger – *
Last night was awesome. Now we know what winning feels like hopefully we
can keep it up.
We had many greats and many firsts. We had 8 of our 10 girls on B team
score. With NYa Puk with her season high of 6 points and 9 rebounds. Our
effort, our heart and our enthusiasm showed last night. The girls rebounded
well with according to our managers stats.
Alayna Holler- 3
Nya Puk 9
Karel Mancia-4
Karime Neave-4
Melissa Garcia-3
Angela Garcia- 6
Arely Rios- 2
Jasmin Nieves- 3
Ashley Acevedo- 3
I am proud of all of girls last night. Many of us improved and are looking
forward to continue this progress.

*7A & 7B team from Coach Shuck – *
7A started strong scoring 4 points in the first quarter, and the Camanche
girls answered back with 2 quick points in the second quarter before the
Apaches answered with two more before half. The Apaches jumped up to 12
points before grinding out the last 4 mins that saw multiple
possession changes and many shot baskets on goal by both squads. The final
was Apaches 13, Comanche 6 which marks the first win of the season for the
7th grade basketball girls.

7B picked up where the A team left off putting up lots of points and
playing great defense all around. The Apaches put up 15 points in the game
and held Comanche to 4 points, the Apaches were fluid and played very well
moving the ball up and down the court in sync. Overall a very promising
game that showed a season full of growth, the future is bright.
