7th grade
South 16 Great Bend 0
Liberal South traveled to Great Bend to take on the Panthers. South was
able to score on its first offensive possession in the game after
converting on a 4th down. Nathan Alarcon scored on a pitch outside for 60
yards to put South up 8-0 after 1 quarter. South defense stepped up all
game and didn’t allow much of anything. Santonio Turner scored in
the second quarter on a 40 yard run up the middle. South was able to go
into the half up 16-0. In the second half offenses stalled on both sides
with turnovers on 3 straight possessions from both teams. The final score
ended 16-0. Liberal South is home against Dodge City Cardinals next week
for their last home game of the year.

Eisenhower cross country
EMS had another successful XC meet in Garden today. Bringing home 2 first
place team finishes both 7th girls and boys, a second place finish for the
8th grade girls and 3rd place finish for the 8th grade boys. Medalist 7G
include: Cate Alling 9th, Lauren Armendariz 6th, and Ashley Carillo 2nd.
Medalist for 7B include: Coby Tran 8th, Eric Baca 6th, and Logan Miller
5th. Medalist for 8G include: Braegan Zimmerman 9th and Esmerelda Gutierrez
4th. Omar Calderon finished in 4th for the 8th grade boys. Next we will
travel to Dodge on Tuesday.
Tuesday at Guymon
Tuesday the 8th graders ran for the first time in Guymon, OK for the Rattlesnake Run! Luckily the only rattlesnakes we saw were the ones on the 3 medals we brought back! Team scores were not available at the time of this report. 8th grade girls ran hard and had several PR (personal records.) Our boys brought home the 3 medals: Marcos Flores 20th, Eduardo Dominguez 16th, and Omar Calderon finished an impressive 3rd out over 100 competitors!
Tuesday Eisenhower volleyball
Lady Warriors traveled across town to compete against their sister school,
South, for the first time this year. 7A beat South in two with a score of
25-1, 25-14 and played an exhibition game for more play time and experience
winning that game 25-8. All of the Lady Warriors stepped up and played
their role in yesterday’s win. 7A improves their record to 22-3 and will
be going into the MSWAC tournament on Saturday at Great Bend as the number
1 seed going undefeated in their league against other WAC schools, 7-0.
7B had an an impressive showing also winning their games against South.
Improving their record to 23-3 and going into Saturday’s MSWAC competition
as #2 seed with their only loss in league play being to Hays, 6-1.
