James Babinec

Thursday Night the 7th Grade Warrior A team hosted the Guymon Tigers.   The Lady’s started the first set tentatively trading points.  With the Tigers leading 12-10 midstream, the Warriors were able to dig in and finally take momentum with a 25-16 win. Devyn Horyna and Joyful Pugh were able to sustain strong service as the Lady’s worked together to finish off Volley’s.

The second and third sets saw the Lady’s struggle with Serve receive from the Tigers. They had a couple of girls that put our back line on their heels.  Trailing 24-14 in the second second, Devyn Horyna was able to put together a run to close the gap.  Mikey Tomas and Sakae Gonzalez had an awesome combo play on the left side to keep the Warrior’s active.  The Warriors succumbed in set two  25-19.   The Warriors never got on track in the final set as the Tigers dominated. 15-4.
