Middle School Results

7A from Coach Olvera –

The Seymour Rogers 7th Grade Basketball A-team had their last game this
Thursday against Eisenhower Middle School. From the very start of the game,
the Apaches started off playing great offense trying to get through the
Warriors’ zone defense. Christopher Marin once again opened the score by
shooting a two point shot from the left angle followed by Alex Gutierez,
who made another three point shot from the right elbow. In the second
quarter, the Apaches started to press more aggressively on the Warriors
which created more opportunities to score. In the third quarter, the score
got very close so the game became pretty even between the two teams. The
Apaches kept fighting for the ball throughout the fourth quarter to be able
to score and win the game however, the game ended 47-32 in favor of the
Warriors. The Apaches had a great season and improvement of their
basketball skills was seen consistently throughout the season as well as
growth in character from every single player.
