Dodge City Comanche 32 South 16

Liberal South traveled to Dodge City to take on Comanche 7th grade.
Comanche opened the game with a score on its first drive with a 60 yard run
up the middle. Liberal South played without its run stopper in Santonio
Turner due to an injury. South moved the ball well in the first half but
couldn’t capitalize on a score. Starting running back Aldo Hernandez broke
free for a 60 yard run in the first quarter but got tackled on the Dodge 10
yard line. Hernandez was injured on the play and never returned to the
game. Dodge went up 24-0 at Half. Liberal South came out after half time
ready to play and scored on the first possession of the half in less than a
minute to make it 24-8 with a 70 yard run from Jose Zamora. Dodge then
capitalized on a Liberal fumble and went up 32-8. Liberal scored to start
the 4th on a run by Nathan Alarcon to finish out the scoring. Final score
was 32-16 Comanche.
