Meade Tops LHS for Liberal Tournament Title

The Meade Buffaloes won the 2021 Liberal Volleyball Tournament. The Buffaloes topped the Redskins in the championship match Saturday afternoon in the Liberal Recreation Center. Liberal lost 21-25, 26-28. Liberal beat Dodge City in the semifinals 25-9, 25-11. Meade topped Hugoton in the semis 25-15, 25-11.

In pool play, LHS began the morning with a win over Southwestern Heights 25-4, 25-11. LHS beat Hugoton 25-12, 25-11. Liberal lost to Meade 26-24, 18-25, 17-25.

Rachelle Terrazas had 49 assists and Rylie Hallman had 45 kills on the day. Emma Evans added 32 kills.

Liberal is 4-12 on the season. They play at Scott City Tuesday.
