Meade Stampedes to First Round Win

The Meade Buffaloes have that first state tournament game since 2000 under their belts now. Meade mashed Brookville/Ell Saline 51-28 Thursday afternoon in Bramlage Coliseum in Manhattan. The Buffaloes face Madison/Hamilton Friday at 4:45 and Sterling faces Berean Academy in the other semi.

The Buffaloes (24-0) got off to a slow start leading 16-15 at halftime. The Buffaloes outscored Ell Saline 35-13 in the second half including 14-2 in the third quarter.

Big 6’8" Randy Friesen was a handful inside scoring 23 points and grabbing 15 rebounds. Gunner Cordes added nine points while Morgan Davis scored eight.
