McKenzie Wright is Mead Lumber Athlete of the Week

Liberal sophomore track athlete McKenzie Wright is the Mead Lumber Athlete of the Week. Wright two gold medals in Garden City Tuesday. She registered three PR’s at Garden. She backed up her triple jump of 36’2" which won gold Friday in Hutchinson with an even better 36’6" at Garden City for another first place finish. She high jumped 5’2" for first at Garden City. Her long jump was a 16’5.5" for fourth place.

Wright helped the LHS girls cross country team to a 7th place finish at state.

Wright and the Redskins compete Friday at Goddard.
