The library at Seward County Community College/Area Technical School in
Liberal will host historian Marc Ferguson at 12:30 p.m., Thursday, April 22.
Ferguson reenacts the infamous wild-west legend Doc Holliday.
Ferguson, curator of the Dalton Gang Hideout in Meade, was also appointed
Assistant Marshal of Dodge City in 2003 and has won numerous awards for his
reenactments of Holliday and buffalo hunter/scout Billy Dixon. Ferguson
will portray Holliday more in line with historical fact rather than with
creative license that most popular media outlets use concerning the infamous
“sporting man.”
This event is open to the public. Refreshments will be served or bring a
sack lunch.
