LPD Investgate Chain Reaction Crash

On August 4th at approximately 10:06am, emergency responders were dispatched to the unit block of South Kansas in reference to a three vehicle accident with possible injuries. Upon arrival, officers learned that a 2010 Jeep driven by a 21 year old female was travelling northbound on Kansas when it suffered a mechanical issue causing it to strike a Ford Expedition that was stopped in traffic. The Expedition was driven by a 31 year old male and had four other occupants. The Expedition then struck a Ford Explorer that was also stopped in traffic; the Explorer was occupied by a 63 year old female. One of the passengers from the Expedition complained of head pain, but refused to be treated by EMS. No ther injuries were reported.  No citations were issued as a result of the accident.
