Battle of the Belt was held in Mulvane, KS on February 7 and 8, 2025. Liberal Wrestling
Club took 13 wrestlers to this tournament. There were teams from multiple states with a lot of
tough competition.

Easton Lopez, 6U 37 pounds, took first place at this tournament and brought home a
championship belt. “We are so proud of Easton and his accomplishments. It was so great to see
his older teammates there to witness his win and celebrate with him! We are so excited to see
what this little guy’s future holds!” said Coach Krista Holcomb.

“Battle of the Belt was an experience! We won some and we learned on others! So many
good competitors were at this tournament. Our kids hung in there. Some came out where they
wanted and others didn’t but we all stuck together through it! It is time to hit the mat and improve
for our upcoming tournaments, district and state!” Holcomb said.

the Goodland Kids Tournament.
