LHS boys traveled to Edmond, OK to play in the Deer Creek Invitational. It
was a 36 hole tournament in one day played at Rose Creek Golf Club. The
course and weather conditions presented challenges that the team was not
used to. Weather at the start was 32 degrees with 20+ mph winds and took
most of the day to warm up. The course had a different layout than what
they are used to playing with water on most holes, big greens with lots of
slope, and mounds throughout the course. It was a great learning experience
for the team and will help us get better and more prepared for the courses
on the rest of our schedule.
The first 18 the team shot a 439 and improved on the second 18 with a 396
for a total of 835. Edmond North won the tournament with a total of 634.
Team finished 13th out of 16 teams.
68. Carson Gilmore (102-100)
75. Josh King (120-90)
77. Ryan Mein (105-106)
78. Logan Miller (112-100)
82. Tacoma Gilmore (124-131)
The team will next compete in the Newton Invitational on April 14th.
