Local Businesses Step Up for Soccer Crowd

Local businesses have combined to pick up the price of admission for Liberal soccer fans. The WAC champion Redskins are 13-3 and the fourth seed in the 6A KSHSAA Central/South Central Regional. The Redskins host the 6-8-2 Lawrence Lions Tuesday night at 6 at the Gary Cornelsen Sports Complex. Tickets to this KSHSAA event are six dollars for adults and five dollars for kids. However, businesses are giving $1,500 dollars to that cause. The Community Bank, Elite Motors, Flooring America, National Beef, Mead Lumber, and Andrade Auto Exchange are giving money to give about the first 250-300 people free admission Tuesday. If the Redskins win, they play the winner of Lawrence Free State at Derby Thursday night in Liberal.
