Liberal Wins Home Volleyball Tournament

Liberal won their own volleyball tournament Saturday in the Big House.  The Redskins went 5-0 on Saturday in their first home event of the season.  LHS beat Hugoton (25-18, 25-13) Meade (25-17, 25-10), Southwestern Heights (25-20, 25-8), and Dodge City (25-11, 25-5) to go 4-0 in pool play.  Liberal took down Garden City in the championship 25-19, 25-10.  Jenna Ormiston had 36 kills on the day for an average of seven kills per game.  Rachelle Terrazas had 32 assists.  Shamari Lewis had four solo blocks and three block assists.  Liberal has won seven in a row and is 16-7 overall.  Liberal faces Dodge City in the Dodge City Fieldhouse Thursday.
