An injury accident occurred Monday at approximately 7:00am on US Highway 270 at the junction of US Highway 283, approximately 6 miles south of Laverne, OK in Harper county.

A 2020 Kenworth driven by Miguel Angel Fonseca, age 26 of Liberal, KS and a 2006 Peterbilt semi driven by John Harrison Harl, 33 of Brenham TX, were both eastbound on US270. A 2012 Buick Enclave driven by Susanna Andrea Ritter, 49 of Guymon, OK was traveling west on US270. The Kenworth was in the turn lane to turn north onto US283 and began a left turn in front of the Buick. The Buick went left of center to avoid the Kenworth and struck the Peterbilt.

Ritter was transported by Laverne EMS to Harper County Community Hospital in Buffalo, OK. She was later transferred by Eagle Med to OU Medical in Oklahoma City, OK. Admitted in stable condition with trunk internal and leg injuries.

The drivers of the semis were not injured and neither was a passenger in the Kenworth, Mirtha Fonseca, 25 of Liberal.
