Liberal Police Work Tuesday Accident

On Tuesday June 1st, at about approximately at 4:06pm the Liberal Police Department, Liberal Fire Department, Seward County Sheriff’s Department, and the Seward County EMS responded to the Kansas Ave. and 15th Street intersection  in reference to a two vehicle accident.

Upon arrival, investigating officers determined a 2005 Dodge Stratus, being driven by a 66 year old male, was traveling east on 15th Street near the Kansas Avenue intersection. A 2014 Ford Focus, driven by a 19 year old female, was traveling west on 15th Street at the same intersection. The Ford Focus turned south onto Kansas Avenue which resulted in the Dodge striking the Focus. The drivers of the vehicles refused medical treatment.
