Liberal Police Make Drug Arrest

On Friday, May 14, 2021 at about 5:30 p.m., officers of the Liberal Police Department conducted a vehicle stop on a white Toyota Rav4 out of California in the 600 block of East Pancake Boulevard. During the stop officers detected the odor of marijuana which led to a search of the vehicle. Officers located 135 grams of methamphetamine, 12 grams of cocaine, 6 grams of mushrooms, 4 fentanyl pills and 2 grams of marijuana.
The driver, a 36-year-old male, and the passenger, a 34-year-old female, were arrested and taken to the Seward County Jail. Charges include distribution of methamphetamine, possession of cocaine, possession of hallucinogenic mushrooms, possession of an opioid, possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia, failure to signal and driving with a suspended driver’s license.
