Liberal Police Make Burglary Arrest

On Monday, July 25, 2022, at approximately 05:46 am, officers of the Liberal Police Department, were dispatched to Starlight Liquor, 630 N Kansas, regarding damage to a door. Upon arrival, officers located a large cement brick that had been thrown through the front glass door. While reviewing surveillance video with management, officers observed a white male throw the cement brick through the window and steal several items from the store.

Officers were able to identify 32-year-old Brian Rine as the person who broke into the business. He was arrested and charged with Commercial Burglary, Theft, Criminal Damage, and Interference with Law Enforcement.
