Liberal Police Make Arrest Following An Altercation

On March 29, 2010, at about 8:00 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 700 block of South New York for a report of a fight. While officers were responding, they received a report of shots fired.

Investigating officers learned that an altercation occurred at 725 South New York. Witnesses described seeing a man holding a crow bar and another displaying a firearm. At some point during the confrontation, witnesses reported hearing gunshots. No injuries were reported.

Investigating officers arrested a 20 year old male for aggravated assault and a 24 year old male for attempted murder. An affidavit will be filed with the County Attorney for filing of formal charges.
