Liberal’s DeVondre Livingston is following a lot of big footsteps. Like four of his cousins, the 6’5" forward selects his hometown college Seward to play basketball. Cousins Martin Lewis, Melvin Sanders, Marquez Patterson, and Kevin Livingston came to the same conclusion.

Livingston led the Redskins at 16 points and nine rebounds per game. The forward showed soft touch around the basket and helped power the Skins to the 5A state tournament. He scored 20 or more points in six games and scored in double figures in all but two of Liberal 23 games. He poured in 26 in a triple overtime win over Great Bend. Livingston averaged nine points and five rebounds a game as a junior.

He joins a Seward County team which has won the Jayhawk West three of the past five years. Livingston picked the Saints over Garden City.

Livingston’s interview airs on the Sportsguys Thursday morning between 7:37 and 9 on Talkradio 1270 and kscbnews.net.
