Liberal High School to Replace the Parking Lot

The USD 480 Board of Education met Monday evening at East Campus and in new business, approved the bid from French Construction in the amount of $1,721,731.35 for replacement of the Liberal High School parking lot. French construction was also awarded the bid in the amount of $791,122 to furnish and construct the front entry addition at Bright Start Early Learning Center.

USD 480 solicited bids to reconfigure the HVAC ductwork at MacArthur, Meadowlark and Prairie View Elementary schools, approved for the work was the bid from Dean E. Norris in the amount of $411,139.00.

Committee Spots were selected by the Board Members and an amendment to the Teaching Tuition Payment Agreement and revisions to the Advanced Student Teacher Parameters were approved by the Board.

Administration and LNEA from both middle schools provided information to the Board on a new schedule that has been voted on and approved by the certified teaching staff at both middle schools. Also at Liberal High School new courses, Anthropology and Teacher Observation were given the go ahead by the Board. Both courses were approved by the Curriculum Committee on Jan. 10, 2024.

Approved was the 2023 Audited Financial Statements as Presented as was the purchase of a Sharp Copier from Southern Office Supply in the amount of $12,580 for Sunflower Elementary School
