Liberal High School Mourns the Death of a Student

Liberal High School is saddened to learn that Geovany Abrego, a sophomore at Liberal High School, died Monday, March 20, 2023 from health complications. We are all saddened by Geovany’s death and send our condolences to his family and friends. Counselors and school staff will be available today after school at LHS, as well as throughout the next week for students who have been impacted by this tragedy. Information about the funeral and/or memorial service will be provided when it is available. Students were informed of this tragedy this afternoon by their homeroom teacher and by email.
