Liberal High School will be adopting new textbooks for both English Language Arts (ELA) and Social Studies beginning next school year. These resources were selected by each department using a thorough rubric that prioritized alignment to Kansas state standards, differentiation to support all learners, opportunities for reading, writing, and speaking development, and resources that extend and enrich student learning. The selected materials also include varied assessment options, accessible content for bilingual learners, and seamless integration with technology tools currently in use at LHS.

In addition to teacher review and evaluation, the materials were also reviewed by the school’s Site Council.

If anyone would like to view the selected textbooks, they will be available at the school during the following times:

Monday, April 14 – Wednesday, April 16
8:30 – 10:30 AM or 12:30 – 2:30 PM

Please check in at the main office upon arrival, and someone will assist you in getting to the room where the materials are set up for viewing.
