The Liberal Fire Department has received a fire prevention grant from the FM Global Company. FM Global is a company that for nearly two centuries has provided comprehensive insurance products and exceptional property loss prevention engineering services to protect clients’ worldwide operations. The mission of FM Global is minimizing the potential for property loss which they accomplish through:
• Risk Identification and Assessment
• Risk Avoidance and Reduction
• Risk Acceptance and Transfer
The Liberal Fire Department will be using these funds to purchase computers and software for fire inspections and pre plans. This will help us perform our fire inspections quicker and more accurately while allowing us to work with business owners in eliminating potential hazards. This goes hand in hand with the mission of the FM Global Company which is a shared mission for the Liberal Fire Department. Dean Slepicka (FM Global) presented the fire department with a check on August 31, 2011. The equipment will be purchased in the upcoming weeks.
