The Liberal City Commission is set to meet on Tuesday, June 23rd at a special time of 2:00pm. Among the items on the agenda, the Commission will consider the donation of a Smith Prop jet to the Mid America Air Museum. Mr. Smith, of Johnson KS, built the aircraft himself, and the plane holds a value of $155,800.00

Commissioners will also consider the acceptance of a CDBG-CV Grant from the Kansas Department of Commerce in the amount of $132,000. The Police Department will be requesting the purchase of SRO Response Kits and First Aid Kits. Total cost would be $6,845.50 and would be paid for with a recent anonymous donation.

The City Commission will consider appointing Clarissa Carrillo to the Library Board, the purchase of a new paint striping machine in the amount of $10,000.66 from Sherwin Williams, and roadwork at Arkalon Park with J&R Sand in the amount of $27,221.30. J&R Sand would donate $14,887 of the work with the City paying $12,334.30.

Also on the agenda is an Executive Session for matters of Non-Elected Personnel.
