The Liberal City Commission will not meet Tuesday evening at 5:30pm for their regularly scheduled meeting .Due to the lack of a Quorum, the City Commission will now meet on Wednesday at 3:00pm at City Hall.
Among the items on the agenda the Commission will consider Ordinance 4541 which will address managing the use and occupancy of a public right of way.
Also to be considered will be the vacation of a 20ft by 250ft platted alley. This would be the alley directly behind the Baker Arts center. Another 20ft platted alley is also being asked to be vacated.
Commissioners will consider the acceptance of a $7,500 Grant from KDHE to purchase containers for the Solid Waste Department and the purchase of a 84″ Bobcat attachment from White Star in the amount of $10,956.48. This would be for the Street Department.
A donation of a deed and bill of sale from Diamond Services Company to the City will be considered as will the appointment of John West to the Library Board.
The Liberal City Commission will also consider a Real Estate Contract between the City of Liberal and Liberal New Iron and Metal LLC, who is now under new ownership.
