Liberal City Commission Adopts New Cleanup Programs

At Monday nights City Commission Meeting, the Liberal City Commission adopted several new cleanup programs. The programs to be operated from the Liberal Solid Waste and Parks and Recreation Departments and will be under the umbrella of “Liberal Pride – City Wide”. This is an effort for the City of Liberal to work together with the citizens to make Liberal a better and cleaner place to live. The programs will offer individuals or groups a multitude of ways to get involved. The new programs being offered include: Adopt A Street Program, Adopt A Block Program, Adopt A Litter Container Program, Adopt A Park Program, The Business Clean-up Challenge Program, The Neighborhood Clean-up Assistance Program, The Schoolyard Clean-up Program, The City Commission Community Clean-up Litter Grant Program, The Tool Lending Center, The Trash Coupon Program and Graffiti Removal Program.
