After an 18-19 season in 2014, the Liberal High School volleyball teams looks to win again in 2015. They looked like a winnner for the first half of 2014 sprinting off to a 13-5 start before slumping late with four losses at WAC and a regional loss. Liberal was 23-18 and 28-14 the two previous seasons and was 142-51 from 2006-2010.

Second year head coach Taryn Dinh has five returning starters from last year’s team. LHS is relying heavily on Jr. middle hitter Jade Mickens, Sr. outside hitter Stephanie Garcia, and Sr. libero Jessica Cisneros. Liberal’s other four seniors are S/RH Cennedee Burns, RH Brittney Cummins, MH Abbie Hebbert, and Ramona Lizarraga. Varsity juniors are OH/RH Samantha Terrazas and RH/DS Laci Rush. Sophomores S Haylee Fowler and RH/S hayden Martinez and freshman DS Khiley Davis round out the varsity . Liberal opens at Hutchinson Saturday morning at 8 a.m.
