LHS Volleyball Gains One Win at Great Bend

Liberal’s volleyball team played at Great Bend’s tournament on Saturday.  Liberal went 1-4.

The Redskins defeated Wichita West  25-8, 25-17.  Shamari Lewis had eight kills and five digs while Zoey Torres had five kills and three aces.

Liberal lost to Hutchinson 17-25, 5-25.  Shamari Lewis had five kills and five blocks.  Alexis Ugalde and Klaire Anderson had five digs a piece.

Liberal lost to Salina Central 14-25, 22-25.  Zoey Torres had eight kills while Shamari Lewis registered seven kills and eight digs.  Klaire Anderson had 10 digs.

LHS fell to Newton 16-25, 22-25.  Shamari Lewis had nine kills and seven digs.  Zoey Torres had five kills and three aces.  Klaire Anderson had 13 digs.

Liberal lost by forfeit to Great Bend.

The Redskins are 3-23.  LHS hosts Holcomb and Scott City Tuesday at 4pm in the Big House.
